What is the System Dashboard?
Upon logging in, you are presented with the System Dashboard. The Dashboard gives you a quick overview of any RTUs in your company system and:
- RTUs that are EXPIRED - Lists RTUs where service contract has expired
- RTUs that are DISARMED - Lists RTUs that are not reporting alarms
- RTUs that are OFFLINE - Lists RTUs that are powered OFF
In addition the following items on the System Dashboard provide noteworthy interactive features:
Alarms with Notifications in Progress: This listing displays those channels currently in notification escalation. Notifications are going out to those groups linked to displayed channels. The "Open For" column shows how long a particular notification has been in progress.
Acknowledged Alarms: Click on the listed alarm to view the details of the alarm notification in progress. Users are presented with the option to acknowledge the alarm, snooze the alarm, ignore the alarm, or review other active alarms. Note: The CSA establishes a setting that controls how long acknowledged alarms remain on the displayed acknowledged alarms list.
Message of the Day: The Message of the Day is essentially a company-wide bulletin board. Any CSA can enter messages intended for users. Possible examples would be reminders of upcoming training days, special projects, news of personal interest, etc.
Notification Groups and Active Alarms: This listing indicates the number of unacknowledged alarms associated with each Notification Group. Notification Groups are groups of users created by a CSA and linked to specific alarm conditions so that a given alarm will result in notifications in a designated sequence to members of that group. If you click on any group, information on the most recent alarm is shown, along with the state of the associated input channel as of the most recent contact with the RTU.
Realtime Events: Lists events that include; RTU has reached 80% of realtime data threshold, RTU has reached 100% of data threshold, and all relay events.
