When I upgrade my radio due to the nationwide sunsetting of 3G devices, will I need to upgrade the antenna?
RACO strongly recommends upgrading the antenna when upgrading the radio. While the older antenna may work to some degree, it would be at a very diminished capacity. 3G antennas are not able to use the 4G frequency, which will result in lost packets of information and slower performance as a result. With lost packets, the radio must resend those lost packets until the system acknowledges receipt.The radio also has an antenna detection module to ensure the best connection.
