Configuring the Number of Rings the Catalyst will Wait to Answer an Incoming Call

Can I set how many rings the Catalyst will wait until answering an incoming call?

In cases where the phone line is used by both personnel and the Catalyst, it may be necessary to increase the number of rings the Catalyst will wait to answer so personnel can answer the phone first if required.

  • From the Configuration menu in Alarmware, select Devices.
  • Click on the Phone Config tab.
  • Change the "Ring Answer Delay" to the number of rings to wait before answering.

You can also use keycode 404*V to set ring answer delay to V. Range is 1 to 20 rings.
