      How to reset an AlarmAgent during a Daylight Savings Time outage

      There are two ways to reset the RTU during an outage.

      1. Manually cycle power to the RTU: Turning the RTU off and then back on will generate a template report that will reset and re-sync the RTU.

        To cycle power press the power button, switch off battery backup (with switch or jumper), Wait for at least 30 seconds for power to dissipate, re-activate battery backup, turn on. Wait for xmit light to turn on to confirm that power is stored.

      2. Wait 24 hours for the next template report to reset the unit: The unit will automatically re-sync the RTU with our servers at least once per day. This will establish a stable RTU connection.
